Comments

John Dodge, retired columnist and editor for The Olympian, discusses his book, "A Deadly Wind." On Columbus Day, 1962, the strongest windstorm in West Coast recorded history struck the Pacific Northwest. The storm killed dozens, injured hundreds, and leveled enough trees to build a million homes. Dodge’s book is a compelling story of this event. Dodge reads excerpts from his book, illustrated with a slide show of archival photos. Thanks to the sponsorship of the Panorama Library Association and the staff and volunteers of the Panorama Auditorium for sharing this video. First aired in 2019.
