This was the construction project of the time and helped put many people back to work during the Franklin Roosevelt administration. There is no narration, just amazing, historic footage that gives us a sense of what it took to dam the mighty Columbia River. At least 88 men died building the dam, the largest concrete structure of all time. You can well believe it when you see the breathtaking footage of the workers without safety harnesses on top of girders.
