The Sassafras Sisters are an old-time oriented all female string band from Olympia who started playing old time and fiddle music from a very young age. Over the years they've been immersed in jams, square dances, and music festivals all over the country. Fostering a community of kids and teens who love to play this kind of music is one of their biggest values, as well as honoring the amazing female musicians in this world!
