In September of 2023, Heather Hansen and John Giese spent three weeks in Italy and Switzerland. They began with a week in and around the Cinque Terre on the Northwest coast of Italy. From there, they spent several days in Venice and then went to the Dolomite Mountains in northern Italy. This part of the trip was with a professional photographer and the emphasis was on taking photos of the beautiful scenery. Following that, they spent a week with friends near Zurich, Switzerland, still hiking and shooting photos every day.
